A mid to upper level ridge will continue to remain in firm control
over South Texas through the weekend before zonal flow returns early
next week. The presence of this ridge will help limit the
development of showers and thunderstorms, however, a weak shortwave
and areas of positive vorticity advection will ride the eastern
periphery of the ridge Friday promoting medium (30-60%) chances for
rain across all of South Texas except for the Victoria Crossroads.
Our next best chances for rain will then return early next week with
low to medium (30-50%) chances for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday
and Wednesday afternoon.

VFR conditions are expected throughout this TAF cycle with light
winds tonight and tomorrow night and gusty winds in the
afternoon. There is a medium chance for MVFR ceilings to develop
early tomorrow morning between 12-15z across LRD and COT.

A gentle to moderate breeze (BF 3-4) is expected through the weekend
into next week with brief periods of a fresh breeze (BF 5)
developing Thursday afternoon. Medium (30-60%) chances for showers
and thunderstorms can be expected Thursday and Friday with drier
conditions this weekend before medium rain chances return once again
early next week.
