.SYNOPSIS...
The upper level trough is currently over the Great Lakes region
and will be slowly moving eastward through Friday. High
pressure will build in for the weekend with a weak cold front
moving through Sunday. Early next week, high pressure will build
in north of the Great Lakes.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH FRIDAY/...
930 AM Update...
Adjusted PoPs for this morning into the afternoon to account for
current radar trends. PoPs have been more widespread in eastern
Ohio and should taper off into the afternoon.
We are starting off this morning with patchy
to areas of fog and mist. There are some patchy dense fog as
well. As of this discussion, it doesn`t seem widespread enough
for an advisory at this time. We will continue to issue SPS for
some fog through sunrise but keep an eye on trends if a headline
is needed.
An upper level trough will continue to move slowly eastward
across the Ohio Valley and eastern Great Lakes region today. At
the surface, an area of low pressure near southern Ohio will
track northeastward across the Upper Ohio Valley today. The
highest POPs for today will be along our southeastern CWA or
mainly along a line from Mount Vernon to Ashtabula eastward.
Average QPF will range between a tenth to half an inch of
rainfall today. The upper level trough will begin to push
eastward away from the region by tonight. With recent rainfall
and wet ground, patchy to areas of fog may be possible once
again tonight. Weak high pressure will build into the region on
Friday. Skies will clear from west to east across the area on
Friday. High temperatures today will be in the lower to middle
70s. High temperatures on Friday will be in the middle to upper
70s. Overnight low temperatures will be in the middle 50s.

.SHORT TERM /FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT/...
High pressure will move into the region over the weekend and
bring quiet weather. An upper level low will slowly move from
the southeastern U.S. to the Mid-Atlantic region this weekend.
This upper level low may throw back some high and mid level
clouds over the area from time to time this weekend. Otherwise,
it should be fair weather conditions this weekend. High
temperatures will range from the middle 70s to lower 80s this
weekend. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower to
middle 50s.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
An upper level ridge will develop over the Midwest and Great
Lakes region by early next week. High pressure at the surface
will keep the weather quiet and slightly above average
temperatures. High temperatures will range from the middle 70s
to lower 80s early next week. Overnight low temperatures will
be in the lower to middle 50s. A backdoor cold front may slide
across the eastern Great Lakes by the middle of next week with
slightly cooler weather. The weather forecast looks to remain
dry for the early and middle of next week.

.AVIATION /12Z Thursday THROUGH Monday/...
Patches of locally dense fog continue this morning and are
currently bringing the largest impacts to KTOL, KMFD, and KYNG.
Confidence in its coverage has been very low the past few hours
due to rapidly advancing rain showers and associated clouds
from the south, but rapid drops in vis are possible anywhere
between now and 14Z. After that time, conditions will gradually
improve to MVFR. The bulk of the rain showers will impact NE
Ohio and NW PA, as well as the far southern tier of Counties, so
confined the showers to KMFD, KCLE, KCAK, KYNG, and KERI
through early to mid afternoon, with the steadiest falling this
morning. Drier air will finally work in from west to east this
afternoon and evening as high pressure builds toward the Ohio
Valley. This will allow VFR to return to all sites, but
conditions are continuing to trend toward additional fog
tonight.
Winds will turn generally NW and increase to 5-10 knots by mid
morning as a weak cold frontal boundary slides across the area.
This front will slow in speed, so winds may stay more westerly
at KYNG and KERI through the day, while generally WNW winds
continue elsewhere. Winds will become light W at all sites
tonight.
Outlook...Pockets of IFR or lower are possible in fog Friday
morning, otherwise, VFR is expected Friday through Monday.

.MARINE...
Quiet conditions will continue on Lake Erie over the next 5 days.
A weak cold front pushing across the lake this morning will
veer winds to NW with speeds increasing to 10-15 knots. NW winds
will decrease to 5-10 knots tonight before becoming light and
variable Friday as high pressure builds across the southern
Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. Variable winds will then continue
through the weekend with speeds averaging 5-10 knots as high
pressure remains across the Ohio Valley until a stronger
Canadian high dropping into Ontario and Quebec early next week
allows for increasing NE winds Monday.
