.DISCUSSION... Issued at 143 PM CDT Mon Sep 29 2025

Quiet weather will continue this week and weekend with a dry forecast and temperatures above normal for the most part. Upper level ridging will be the main player for the regions weather as it settles across the Ohio Valley this week. Surface ridging will continue associated with a surface high well to the northeast. A dry forecast will continue this week. Winds will remain from the northeast. High temperatures are expected to continue to run above normal this week with highs in the mid to upper 80s, cooling a bit toward the end of the week. As previous discussions have mentioned, no impacts from the tropical activity is expected.

For the weekend, the ridge starts to break down a bit with a subtle disturbance across the northern Gulf coast. Surface ridging will dominate as high pressure extends across the Mid Atlantic and northeast. No signs of any precipitation are seen for the weekend period. High temperatures look to remain above normal with highs in the low to mid 80s.
