Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 104 AM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025

...New Short Term, Long Term, Aviation...

.KEY MESSAGES...

- Tranquil weather conditions will continue through the week and most likely into the weekend. Cool mornings will give way to afternoon temperatures in the 80s and 90s.

&&

.SHORT TERM... /NEW/ /Today Through Wednesday Night/

Another day of below normal temperatures is expected throughout North and Central Texas with continued northwest flow aloft. As we we begin the day, much of the region will be in the mid to upper 50s with lower 60s in the urban areas. This will be the coolest morning temperatures we`ve experienced since May 21st 2025.

Morning high clouds will give way to a sunny afternoon, driving temperatures into the mid to upper 80s. Winds will remain light, generally out of the southeast.

Tomorrow, above normal temperatures will once again return to the region. Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s, thankfully, a relatively dry airmass will keep the heat index values right at the actual temperature.

.LONG TERM... /NEW/ /Thursday Onward/

A ridge of high pressure will begin to build across West Texas, eventually migrating to the east through the rest of the week. This will keep all precipitation chances at bay, as well as continue to gradually drive afternoon temperatures up. Highs will be in the lower to mid 90s each afternoon with clear skies in place. Overnight temperatures will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s through the weekend.
