.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1144 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

The forecast remains largely unchanged across the region, with a persistent warming trend beginning today and continuing into the weekend. After a somewhat pleasant morning, temperatures will steadily climb into the 80s across the region today. As mentioned, a warming trend continues through Friday as highs return to the lower to mid 90s. We will see little variation in these temperatures throughout the weekend and honestly a copy and paste pattern is supported by the latest deterministic guidance, which continues to show a stagnant upper-level ridge centered over the Southern Plains. As Will Rogers once stated, "if you don`t like the weather, wait a minute." But unfortunately, or fortunately depending on what kind of weather you like, you might be waiting for a while to see a change in this pattern.

Upper-air analysis show a broad 500mb ridge that will expand across Texas and Louisiana with heights gradually rising through the weekend. The ridge axis remains firmly entrenched, suppressing vertical motion and limiting convective development. At the surface, high pressure centered over the southeast CONUS will continue to funnel dry air into the region, which will only act to reinforce the stable pattern. With no significant frontal boundaries or tropical intrusions expected, precipitation chances will remain near zero throughout this forecast period. Bottom line, skies will be mostly sunny, the air dry, and the forecast, well, reliably boring. Although sometimes, boring is beautiful. /33/

.AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 639 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

VFR conditions will prevail through the 24hr TAF period. Look for light northeast winds overnight. Winds will remain near easterly to northeasterly at or below 10kts after 14z on Tue with some variability to those winds across our E TX terminals. Also cannot rule out some late morning cu across the ELD and MLU terminals to go along with some AC possible at the TXK/ELD during the day Tuesday as well.
