.UPDATE... Issued at 743 PM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
Dry, quiet conditions prevailed this evening with clear skies. Overnight conditions will stay the same with a few patches of fog. Lows will be in the 50s. Forecast is in good shape with no changes needed at this time.

.SHORT TERM... (Rest of today through Wednesday) Issued at 1026 AM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
Very quiet weather continues through the forecast period, leaving very little to talk about. Water vapor imagery this morning shows a shortwave tracking out of the Plains and into the Midwest. But at best, this feature will be responsible for mid to high-level clouds throughout the day as our atmosphere remains too dry for any rain chances. Despite troughing over the area tomorrow as well, it`ll still be too dry for rain. Otherwise, temperatures will be on a warming trend with highs today reaching into the mid-80s and then getting close to 90 on Wednesday.

.LONG TERM... (Wednesday Night through next Tuesday) Issued at 1026 AM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
By mid-week, an upper-level ridge builds over the Plains, and through the remainder of the week, it will be migrating to the east. Thanks to this, we`ll be reminded summer isn`t quite over as our warming trend continues. By the weekend, highs will be in the mid- to upper-90s with this trend holding into early next week. Meanwhile, our rain chances remain zero as this dry airmass stays put.

.AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 644 PM CDT Tue Sep 9 2025
VFR conditions continue to dominate. Could see some patchy fog around KCSV and KSRB tonight, but confidence is lower on if these sites will actually be affected. Winds become light and variable in the afternoon on Wednesday.
