.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1018 PM CDT Sun Sep 28 2025

A generally pleasant forecast is expected for Deep South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley. Rain chances remain low (under 30%) for the duration of the forecast period. However this does not mean that a rogue shower or two could not develop during the afternoon hours with the seabreeze. The dry and subsidence from a mid-level ridge and surface high pressure will continue to be the main influence for the region thus why the rain chances are so low for the forecast period.

While the high temperatures will remain slightly above normal, the heat indices are not expected to be too high due to the amount of dry air in the region. This will also mean that for the majority of the forecast period that the Heat Risk will be minor (level 1 of 4). The low temperatures are expected to remain about normal through the period.
