.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1205 PM CDT Wed Oct 1 2025

The previous forecast remains on track. High pressure over Deep South Texas will maintain dry conditions through Thursday. A mid/upper level low developing over the Gulf this weekend will lead to moisture increasing across the region and thus increasing rain and thunderstorm chances. Friday morning rain chances stay more confined to the coast (40-60%) and expands westward in the afternoon (30-60%), with the highest chances remaining along and east of I- 69E. Rain chances decrease slightly Sunday (20-40%) before increasing again through Wednesday. With any convection that develops, especially in the afternoon, heavy rainfall will be possible.

Near to slightly above normal temperatures will continue through the middle of next week with highs in the low to mid 90s and overnight lows in the mid 60s to low 70s.

At areas beaches, a low risk of rip currents will prevail through Friday afternoon. With increased onshore flow this weekend, will likely see moderate to high risk of rip currents.
