.DISCUSSION... Issued at 136 PM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025
Tonight through next Tuesday: For the most part, strong surface high pressure anchored over the eastern CONUS will be in control of our weather through the remainder of the work week and into the weekend. One minor exception will be a weak surface trough over the lower MS Valley region Wed/Thu. This could help to support isolated shower activity during peak heating, but any rainfall will be spotty and light. Otherwise, look for slightly drier and cooler air to advect into the forecast area as we finish up the week. Given the long duration stretch of below normal rainfall observed, we will be monitoring for any increased fire weather threats in this dry weather pattern. It is worth noting that we should begin to see an increase in rain chances going from this weekend through early next week as pressures begin to fall and moisture increases near the gulf coast. There are still no signs of significant rainfall potential. /EC/

Overall, VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period. An area of high clouds will move across the area through tonight, decreasing into Wed morning. Isolated shower activity is possible Wed afternoon, however impacts should be limited if they do occur. /DL/
