.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1033 AM CDT Sun Sep 14 2025
Dry and warm weather prevails through the end of the week across the region. Upper troughing persists across the eastern CONUS, occasionally being reinforced by passing shortwaves moving through the region from the northwest. Our area generally remains on the backside of these troughs, keeping persistent northerly to northwesterly flow aloft in place. This will continue to supply drier air to the gulf coast states, keeping any chances for rain near zero through the end of the week. Afternoon highs each afternoon top out in the lower 90`s for most locations each day, with overnight lows cooling into the lower to middle 60`s. A few spots over the interior may see middle 90`s on any given afternoon. A low risk of rip currents continues through the end of the week. MM/25
