.DISCUSSION... Issued at 214 PM CDT Fri Sep 19 2025
Dry and hot conditions will continue through the weekend. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible, however most areas will remain dry. A pattern change is possible by middle to late next week as an upper level trough digs across the plains states and slides east with an upper low developing across the Ohio Valley. Both global models show a frontal boundary moving into the southeast ahead of the upper trough by late in the week. Increasing deep layer moisture along with the approaching boundary will allow some rain chances to return to the forecast. However, due to the uncertainty this far out, will cap rain chances at around 30% at this point. Temps remain hot with highs in the low to mid 90s for this weekend. Highs may trend down slightly by next week with upper 80s and low 90s expected. /13
