.DISCUSSION... Issued at 1104 PM CDT Mon Sep 8 2025

Drier air and clear skies will lead to another cozy night with overnight lows in the low 50s to upper 60s inland, and in the upper 70s along the coast. This drier airmass is evident in soundings, water vapor satellite imagery and surface obs, which show sfc dewpoints in the 50s and 60s. After a comfortable morning, expect temperatures to gradually warm into the upper 80s to low 90s this afternoon. Breezy southerly winds are anticipated at times due to afternoon mixing.

Dry weather with low humidity levels will persist on Wednesday. Ridging to our west will expand over the Plains and move eastward, resulting in slightly warmer conditions. Highs will generally be in the low to mid 90s. An easterly wave is forecast to develop and move over the coastal waters late Wednesday through the end of the workweek. This will produce in isolated to scattered showers, primarily over the coast. As ridging aloft continues to dominate, the remainder of the forecast period is expected to be hot with a gradual increase in humidity from strengthening surface onshore winds.
